Mission:
10,000 Trees for the Rouge Valley, a volunteer- driven, non-profit organization, has planted more than 100,000 trees and shrubs and restored over 100 acres of the Rouge watershed to natural cover, protecting creeks and streams from soil erosion, helping to link existing islands of forest and extending wildlife corridors. Together we’re making a difference.
Formed in 1989 as an offshoot of the Save the Rouge Valley group and the Rouge Valley Foundation, 10,000 Trees for the Rouge Valley now runs as independent all-volunteer group, attached to the Rouge Valley Foundation. Our group is growing and is recognized as one of the best tree-planting groups in Canada.
