1world communication is an international non profit organization dedicated to bringing news, information, and opinions on the critical issues of our times, by activists and journalists from countries in Africa, Asia, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
International trade and financial agreements pushed by developed countries and backed by the power of organizations like the International Monetary Fund [IMF], the World Bank and the World Trade Organization [WTO] have allowed corporations to transcend national boundaries. They are able to control the very economies of many developing countries. Now they are attempting to buy up water supplies and laying claim, through patents, to countries` plants and traditional medicines.
In order to fight their global domination and highly undemocratic tendencies, it is critical for progressive organizations to create global alliances. We hope this website will serve as a forum where the voices of individuals and organizations with an alternative perspective can be heard.
