Aarohi is a non-profit society committed to integrated rural development in the central Himalayan region of Uttar Pradesh; key sectors of work are natural resource management, health, drinking water and sanitation, education, women’s development and production of Apricot OPI and herbs to provide supplementary income to small farmers of the region.

Aarohi is working in hills of Almora and impacting lives of over 37,000 villagers in over 100 villages in Uttarakhand. A professional doctor is living in this region in a village called Satoli in Nainital District since past 20 years and has created a rural community of sorts with services such as Healthcare, Education, Livelihoods (Apricot growers’ enterprise) and community organization.
