Aims:
1) To persuade the Government to place the UN at the centre of foreign policy, operating through its agencies and programmes wherever possible, supporting it with adequate funds and personnel.
2) To enhance the Government’s participation in the UN system, urging that it is transparent and publicly accountable.
3) To encourage wider knowledge and understanding of the UN Charter, and of proposals for UN Reform, by the general public and particularly in education.
4) To obtain information about current UN activities from all available sources, including UN offices and websites, and to encourage the widest possible exposure and discussion of those activities.
