Purpose
To advocate1 for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality through:
– campaigns for legal and social change; and
– public education.

– Access to decision-making processes, resources and appropriate services; participation in decision-making, policy development and program implementation; equity in social and economic outcomes; and recognition of human rights.
– Recognition of the custodianship of the land and sea by Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
Collectivism
– Shared leadership, adaptive decision-making and skills development to encourage participation, networking and coalition-building.
Accountability
– Individuals and organisations are accountable to the group and to the broader population of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people for decisions and actions agreed on by the group.
Equality
– Respecting diversity and common purposes across sexuality, gender, identity, culture, age, ability, class, parental status, HIV status, income, relationship status, appearance, mental health and geography.
Integrity
– Acting honestly and consistently to reflect the purpose and values of the group.
