The mission of ARRC is to promote awarenss of the ecological status of African rainforest and river systems and to provide for their protection and preservation.
ARRC promotes conservation in several African countries, advocating for nature preserves, acknowledgement of local tribespeople, anti-poaching programs, etc.
Past programs have taken place in the Chinko River Basin, Ivindo River, and Lindi River.
Africa Rainforest and River Conservation works in some of the most remote places on Earth. Few people will ever have to opportunity to experience them first-hand. We strongly believe that capturing the sights and sounds of these magical places is the key to helping people appreciate their importance. We employ writers, cinematographers, recording engineers and still photographers to document these wild places. Often our media campaigns involve slide shows, magazines, tv and radio. Below is a sample of ARRC’s media coverage.
