AfriWEA promotes and supports wind energy development on the African continent by facilitating the exchange of political and technical information, expertise and experience in the wind energy sector. It aims to further the wind energy interests of Africa in particular and developing countries in general.

AfriWEA aims to be an influential umbrella organisation representing the wind energy sector in Africa and thus assisting interaction and co-operation between all energy players. It will be a network through which support around the world will be obtained or given on wind energy matters. In this way it shall promote the development of and investment in wind energy on the continent.
