Independent Environmental Magazine – Alert covers environmental issues to raise understanding of local and international environmental issues in Croatia and Balkans region, since 2004. Alert is online media published at www.alertonline.org, where published around 600 news and features annualy.New headlines readers receive via listserve,where subscribed activists, experts, officials and journalists from Croatia and the Balkans.
Publisher is Croatian environmental press centre (CEPC) which is a NGO gathering environmental journalists working to improve quality of environmental reporting in the media and networking of environmental journalists.
Beside publishing Alert which is main project, CEPC organises educational and networking workshops for journalists and civil society and thematic conferences aiming to present expert knowledge and NGO’s actions to the media and public.
We welcome correspondents, press releases, features, photos and other contributions which can be preferably in English, Croatian or other languague.
