Repeatedly, art has proven to be an extraordinary way to inspire and unite a community. Art as Action uses this to bring global awareness to local artists and audiences. The performances produced are composed of original pieces connected by a common theme and created by a diverse group of artists. Art as Action is comprised of members of various art communities including dance, circus arts, music, film, poetry, visual art and aerial dance. Each artist is encouraged to collaborate and transcend the boundaries between art genres, thereby creating a collage of diverse artistic pieces representing an extensive range of talents, backgrounds and ideas. Art as Action is the support and the structure which empowers artists to produce an entertaining and intensely creative and powerful production of professional caliber.
