About BBR
Brown Bear Resources [BBR], also based in northwest Montana, focuses its efforts in and around the NCDE. Since 1989, BBR has worked proactively to give humans an understanding and a respect for grizzlies as an indicator of the health of other species, as well as the ecosystem in which we all live. We are a resource and research nonprofit corporation endorsed by federal, state, and tribal agencies. As such, BBR does not litigate or appeal government or private actions. Rather, our activities and programs inform humans of our role in determining the survival of the grizzly – as well as the many other species that also depend upon the grizzlies` habitat for survival. To this extent, BBR uses a variety of educational and resource mediums, including:
1. Educational Trunks. The trunks provide an entire 2 weeks` conservation education curricula for grades K-8 surrounding such topics as historical perspectives of wildlife, illegal trade in bear parts, natural history of bears, and many other subjects. In addition, the trunks facilitate BBR`s full-day conservation education presentations called Be Fair to Bears”
