The Rural Action Committee of Mpumalanga Province Trust works with disadvantaged rural and peri-urban communities to promote human rights, tenure rights, and sustainable development in Mpumalanga Province.Executive Summary

The Rural Action Committee of Mpumalanga Province Trust is a land rights Non Government Organisation and a founding member and affiliate of the National Land Committee.

Our Motto is that land rights is the first step in sustainable development and is grounded in our historic experience as an organisation that fought against forced removals in the apartheid era. We continue to support rural communities, farm dweller- households and landless groups in their efforts to secure tenure rights on land and access to other natural resources needed to create sustainable livelihoods.

The Rural Action Committee of Mpumalanga Province Trust is committed to a rights based approach to land reform and rural development that focuses on providing support to marginalised rural women and men to acquire land, skills and support in their efforts to improve their quality of life. Our organization values the principles of gender equality and environmental sustainability and promotes participatory approaches to development and decision making.
