Writers Against The War is a network of writers across Canada who came together to try to stop the war on Iraq, and any Canadian participation in it. We are using our skills and our voices to promote peace and inspire hope. We believe in the power of words to move hearts, change minds, and help resolve conflicts.
Writers Against The War is not affiliated with any political party, religion, union, or writersÂ’ organization. We do not use or advocate violence.
We welcome all writers working in all genres, styles, and languages, young or old, published or not. We also welcome editors, translators, journalists, spoken word artists, scholars, writing teachers, and writing students.
