Objectives:
Youth Law Project aims to assist and support young people who must take recourse to the legal system to redress their grievances, as well as to use the legal system to reaffirm the human rights of children and young adults.
Activities:
YLP provides free legal advice to any person under 20 years of age; assists in putting forth the viewpoints of young people; mounts test cases on behalf of young people; publishes a newsletter on children’s rights; educates children and young adults about their rights; presses for changes in law and policy to benifit young people; and gives special priority to young people who are disadvantaged, disabled or institutionalized.
